Avoca WARP Nine Weaves of Wicklow Wide Merino Scarf, Neon Pink is a vibrant celebration of
colour, craftsmanship, and Irish design. Bold neon pink and navy blocks create a striking rhythm
inspired by Wicklow’s ever-changing light, while nine distinct weave structures add exceptional
depth, texture, and visual interest. Expertly woven from luxuriously soft extra fine merino wool,
this wide scarf blends traditional weaving techniques with contemporary style, offering warmth,
comfort, and a standout look for every season. New for the Avoca AW26/27 season, Part of the Warp
Collection from Avoca, and Made at the historic Avoca Mill in Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland, it is
a beautifully crafted accessory that combines heritage with modern expression.
The Warp collection honors Ireland's rich textile history. It celebrates the historic Avoca
Handweavers wool mill, which has been operating since 1723. The collection uses high-quality merino
wool to create scarves that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern, bright designs. In
weaving, the warp threads are held stationary and taut on a loom. These vertical threads run up and
down to form the strong base of the fabric. The weft threads are then woven across them, moving
side to side. This simple over-and-under interlacing creates all woven textiles.
